What is Psoriasis?

Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune condition causing rapid skin cell build up, leading to red, scaly patches that may itch or burn. It affects about 2-3% of the global population, with higher rates in adults than children with equal prevalence in men and women. It is also more common in higher latitudes, possibly due to less sunlight.
